MARCH 2009
Kitchen specialists Treyone have celebrated raising £1200 for the Children's Hospice South West's (CHSW) Precious Lives Appeal with a fund raising kitchen party at their Liskeard showroom. Their latest event attracted over 30 guests and provided an opportunity for those that have supported previous events and members of the Liskeard Friends of the CHSW to learn more about the work of the charity and their work to raise funds for a purpose built hospice in Cornwall near Porthpean for children with life limiting, or life threatening conditions. Once again expert Aga Chef David Pengelly entertained guests with his cooking skills and a further £273 was raised on the night through ticket sales and a luxury raffle.
Gwyneth McLoughlin, representing the Liskeard Friends of the CHSW said: "Since launching the appeal for our new children's hospice for Cornwall we have been astounded by the generosity of people in Cornwall. We're delighted that local companies like Treyone take the work of the hospice into their hearts and do such magnificent work to help us towards our goal to raise five million pounds to build 'Little Harbour' whilst raising the profile of the Precious Lives Appeal."
Treyone Managing Director Robin Doyle said: "During a trip to Little Bridge House we were impressed by the amazing work of the Children's Hospice to support families across the South West. We have chosen to support the CHSW and all of our Aga demonstration events raise money to help the charity realise its ambition for a children's hospice in Cornwall."
