Hidden Salcombe Contemporary kitchen
Minimalistic, peaceful spaces, inspired by botanical design infused with fun. Nestled within a tranquil and elevated position in Salcombe Sands, this property was designed for a large, young family who wished for a get-away from the day-to-day.
The outstanding views needed to take center-stage, so the kitchen only needed to expose itself when required. We achieved this by hiding all of the appliances, sink and tap behind a series of pocket doors, which opened out into a fully functional cooking area when required. Most of the storage was concealed in a back room, helping to further de-clutter the spaces where they would spend the most time. The bold, monotone off-black tones are subtly broken up by the golden veining in the Caesarstone ‘Vanilla Noir’ worktops, which tie-in perfectly with the washed oak herringbone flooring.
As well as the kitchen and pantry, we were commissioned to design and install cabinetry in the utility room and master bedroom walk-in wardrobe. The salmon and black cement floor tiles helped provide us with an indicator to provide cabinetry that worked seamlessly with the colour scheme.
